Just some notes on things I would do differently if I were to build another truck for a similar trip:
- Build-in somewhere that we could both sit next to each other and study a single document/screen for planning purposes
Fit a "SOG" ventilation kit to the Thetford loo! (we got round to doing this while on the road - it cost us time and money but was worthwhile in the end)
Fit a small extractor fan above the hob
Build-in 240v lights and an electrical heater - almost all campsites in SA have 240v hook-ups!
Consider an external gas connection point to allow use of an external cooker? (in the end we simply bought a bottle-top burner and took a bottle outside when the weather allowed/dictated!)
Fit protector bars for the solar panels and rooflights
Maybe fit a 2nd reversing camera mounted on the rear of the box as well as the one on the chassis
