After yesterdays attempts to purchase SIM cards for the mobile and for internet where we had to go to a shopping mall (Africa - shopping mall - I can almost hear your upraised eyebrows from here! - but yes - Umhlanga has the biggest/flashiest shopping mall I've ever seen! - but I'm no expert!) - today was interesting. I HATE shopping - and particularly shopping malls with "muzak" - we finally succeeded in getting what we needed - after having had to "to and fro" because we weren't told that we needed our passports to buy SIM cards, then we weren't told that we needed a letter from the guest house to buy SIM cards, then we weren't told that we needed to physically buy an "air time voucher" to get a SIM card working.... Sue reckons this is normal for Africa. All day to get 2 SIM cards.
Anyway - back to today - Outdoor Warehouse - now this is what shopping should be all about - basically a supermarket full of goodies - building a truck would have been so much easier if we had had one of these to hand - they have winching goodies, fuel goodies, GPS goodies, jacking goodies, gas goodies, cooking goodies, even fuel/water tank goodies - and a clothing section to keep Sue distracted! We'll be back!
Sue hasn't mentioned it yet - but she's a bit of a Twitcher (bird watcher for those not in the know) - so far she's spotted a shed load of birds that she hasn't seen before and is threatening to bore you all with a special "bird page" on the website..... Watch this space.
