Sue got up early and went bird watching in the gardens, but it was gloomy with some rain and various people were making too much noise, so it was not deemed a success! After breakfast we were discussing our problems planning the next stage when the guy at the next table introduced himself - Stuart Butler the writer of this section of the Lonely Planet guide book! The new edition comes out in about a week, he offered to send us the relevant new section by email a bit later - brilliant! We had a really interesting chat with him over a coffee, he's working on a new book about the Masai and how they are living with their traditions in juxtaposition to the modern world. He's off on a long walking trip around the area surrounding the Mara to collect information - sounds fascinating. With his help plus the trusty maps from T4A and the internet we've now planned what we need to for now...
That rain this morning - no drips - so far!
We got "Snake-Cam" out - and endoscope that is connected to a laptop - to have a look between the roof and the ceiling boards for ants. No live ones spotted, only dead ones, but not as many as we had imagined. Hmmmm. We should be ready to leave on Tuesday.
